Bio
Cardman studied biology and marine sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked in remote science environments before NASA selection. Her research included extreme environments, subsurface life, and analog settings relevant to astrobiology.
She commanded SpaceX Crew-11, a mission to the International associated with 73 and 74. That mission placed her among the post-shuttle astronauts whose first flights are ISS crew rotation missions.
