Yury Vasilyevich Malyshev
Yury Vasilyevich Malyshev was a Soviet Air Force officer and cosmonaut who flew two Soyuz missions during the Salyut station era. His career included both a test flight of the new Soyuz-T spacecraft and an Interkosmos mission that carried India's first space traveler.

Bio
Malyshev trained as a military pilot before selection into Soviet Air Force Group 4. His first spaceflight, Soyuz T-2, was the first crewed test of the Soyuz-T variant and included a short visit to Salyut 6.
His second flight launched as Soyuz T-11 with Gennady Strekalov and Rakesh Sharma, docked with Salyut 7, and returned on Soyuz T-10. That mission made Sharma the first Indian citizen in space and gave Malyshev an important role in Soviet-Indian space cooperation.
Malyshev completed two spaceflights, not three. Soyuz T-10 was the return vehicle for the Soyuz T-11 visiting crew, so those vehicles belong together as one mission sequence.
