Yury Nikolayevich Glazkov
Yury Nikolayevich Glazkov was a Soviet Air Force engineer-cosmonaut who flew on Soyuz 24, the final mission to Salyut 5. His flight helped close the operational history of the Almaz military station program under the Salyut name.

Bio
Glazkov trained as a military engineer and entered the cosmonaut corps in 1965. His path included years of preparation for Soyuz and station work before receiving a flight assignment in the Salyut 5 period.
Soyuz 24 launched in February 1977 with Viktor Gorbatko and docked with Salyut 5. The crew reactivated the station, performed experiments, and conducted operations that included an atmosphere-refresh procedure after concerns from the previous Salyut 5 mission.
After spaceflight, Glazkov worked in training, writing, and space-related institutions. His single mission remains historically important because it was the last crewed flight to Salyut 5.
