NS-36 launched on October 8, 2025 aboard New Shepard, with Lewis serving as Astronaut.
New Shepard launches vertically from West Texas, carries its autonomous crew above the atmosphere, and returns the capsule under parachutes while the lands separately under power. Will Lewis therefore has 1 completed spaceflight; backup, training, canceled, and future assignments are excluded from that total. The mission connected Lewis' professional experience with direct work aboard a crewed spacecraft and a completed flight assignment.
