Tushar Shah
Tushar Shah is a quantitative researcher, physicist, pilot, and commercial spaceflight participant. Blue Origin identified him as a partner and co-head of research at a quantitative hedge fund in New York City. He studied physics as an undergraduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and remained at MIT for a doctorate in experimental high-energy particle physics.

Bio
Shah and his wife support philanthropic work addressing poverty, health, and education. His aviation experience was represented by the airplane-and-cloud imagery on the NS-30 , shared with other pilots in the crew.
Shah launched aboard New Shepard mission NS-30 from Launch Site One in West Texas on February 25, 2025. The autonomous carried six people above the Kármán line before returning under parachutes, while the reusable landed separately under power. NS-30 joined his scientific training, aviation interest, and philanthropic priorities in his one completed spaceflight.
