Bio
Smith earned electrical engineering degrees from Stanford University and an MBA from Stanford's business school. His pre- and post-NASA career connects engineering, management, and technology leadership.
He flew STS-68, STS-82, STS-103, and STS-110. His EVA work included two Hubble servicing missions and ISS truss assembly during STS-110.
