Sergey Aleksandrovich Teteryatnikov
Sergey Aleksandrovich Teteryatnikov is a Russian naval engineer and Roscosmos cosmonaut selected in the 2021 open cosmonaut recruitment group. His background is unusual among recent Roscosmos crew members because it comes from submarine operations rather than Air Force aviation or spacecraft manufacturing.

Bio
Teteryatnikov graduated from Russian naval engineering institutions and served in submarine technical operations before cosmonaut selection. That experience gave him a systems-oriented military engineering background, with practical work around complex life-support, navigation, and mechanical systems in closed environments.
Roscosmos selected him in 2021 with Sergey Irtuganov, Alexander Kolyabin, and Harutyun Kiviryan. He completed general space training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center and became eligible for ISS flight assignment.
Teteryatnikov is assigned to SpaceX Crew-13 with Jessica Watkins, Luke Delaney, and Joshua Kutryk, currently planned no earlier than September 2026. Because the flight has not launched as of July 6, 2026, his completed spaceflight count remains zero and 75/76 is future station context rather than a flown mission.
