Richard Alan Mastracchio
Richard Alan Mastracchio is an American engineer and former NASA astronaut. He flew three shuttle missions and one long-duration Soyuz/ISS mission, becoming one of NASA's most experienced astronauts of his generation.

Bio
Mastracchio studied electrical engineering, computer science, and physical science before working as an engineer. NASA selected him with Astronaut Group 16 in 1996 after earlier work at Johnson Space Center.
He flew STS-106, STS-118, and STS-131 as a shuttle . Those missions focused on ISS preparation, assembly, logistics, and station outfitting.
He later launched on Soyuz TMA-11M for 38 and 39. During that mission he helped conduct urgent station repair EVAs, including work on a faulty cooling pump and a failed backup computer relay box.
