Bio
Walheim graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and later completed graduate engineering study at the University of Houston. His Air Force background included engineering and flight-test-related work before NASA selected him in 1996.
He flew STS-110, STS-122, and STS-135. Those missions place him at major ISS milestones: S0 truss installation, Columbus laboratory delivery, and the final Space Shuttle flight.
Walheim completed multiple during ISS assembly.
