Bio
Bresnik graduated from The Citadel and later completed aviation systems graduate work before serving as a Marine Corps pilot and test pilot. NASA selected him with Astronaut Group 19 in 2004.
He first flew on STS-129, a shuttle logistics mission that delivered spare parts and external carriers to the International . He later launched on Soyuz MS-05 and served during 52 and 53.
His ISS expedition included research, maintenance, visiting vehicles, and work. The combination of Marine aviation, shuttle logistics, Soyuz flight, and station operations makes him a useful example of the late shuttle-to-ISS transition generation.
