Philippe Perrin
Philippe Perrin is a French test pilot, engineer, and former CNES/ESA astronaut who flew one Shuttle mission to the International . His short flight was unusually -heavy for a single-mission astronaut.

Bio
Perrin graduated from École Polytechnique and served in the French Air Force, including test-pilot work. He entered the French astronaut pathway through CNES and later transferred into ESA's astronaut corps.
He flew STS-111 aboard Endeavour in June 2002. The mission delivered an ISS crew, installed the Mobile Base System for Canadarm2, and repaired the station's robotic arm; Perrin performed three EVAs with Franklin Chang-Diaz.
