Pamela A. Melroy
Pamela Ann Melroy is a retired United States Air Force colonel, test pilot, NASA astronaut, shuttle , and senior space-policy leader. She is one of the few women to command a Space Shuttle mission.

Bio
Melroy studied physics and planetary science before entering Air Force . NASA selected her with Astronaut Group 15 in 1994.
She piloted STS-92 and STS-112, both ISS assembly missions, then commanded STS-120, which delivered the Harmony module and required complex station repair work.
After NASA, Melroy held major aerospace and government leadership roles, including serving as NASA Deputy Administrator. Her career links spacecraft operations to policy and agency leadership.
