Oleg Grigoryevich Makarov
Oleg Grigoryevich Makarov was a Soviet engineer and cosmonaut whose career included spacecraft design, lunar-program training, a redesigned Soyuz test flight, a survived launch abort, and Salyut station repair work.

Bio
Makarov graduated from Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School and worked at the design bureau that became Energia, including work connected to early Soviet crewed spacecraft. He trained for the Soviet lunar program before Apollo 8 made the planned Soviet circumlunar flight politically and programmatically obsolete.
His first flight, Soyuz 12, tested the safer Soyuz 7K-T after the Soyuz 11 tragedy. Soyuz 18a failed to reach orbit but crossed the boundary of space during an emergency abort. He later flew to Salyut 6 on Soyuz 27/Soyuz 26 and returned for repair work on Soyuz T-3. Salyut 6 is mission context for the station visits, not a separate flight card.
