Bio
Polansky graduated from Purdue University with degrees in aeronautical and astronautical engineering. Before NASA, he served as an Air Force pilot and later worked as a research pilot at Johnson Space Center.
He piloted STS-98, commanded STS-116, and commanded STS-127. Those missions track the growth of the International from Destiny laboratory installation through truss assembly and Japanese Exposed Facility delivery.
