Mark Edward Kelly
Mark Edward Kelly is an American retired naval aviator, test pilot, NASA astronaut, and United States senator from Arizona. He flew four shuttle missions before entering national politics.

Bio
Kelly graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the Naval Postgraduate School, then flew combat missions as a Navy aviator before becoming a test pilot. NASA selected him with Astronaut Group 16 in 1996 alongside his twin brother Scott Kelly.
He piloted STS-108 and STS-121, then commanded STS-124 and STS-134. His missions included ISS logistics, post-Columbia return-to-flight operations, Kibo assembly, and the final flight of Endeavour.
After the 2011 assassination attempt that seriously wounded his wife, Gabrielle Giffords, Kelly retired from NASA and the Navy. He later co-founded a gun-safety advocacy organization and was elected to the United States Senate.
