Bio
Bezos launched with his brother Jeff Bezos, aviator Wally Funk, and student Oliver Daemen aboard New Shepard mission NS-16 on July 20, 2021. The autonomous vehicle departed Launch Site One in West Texas, carried the four-person crew above the Kármán line, and returned the under parachutes while the made a powered landing.
NS-16 was both Bezos's one completed spaceflight and the first crewed mission in the New Shepard program. His place on the manifest linked a family connection to Blue Origin with a separate record in investment, philanthropy, and volunteer public service.
