Marcus Wandt
Marcus Wandt is a Swedish test pilot, ESA project astronaut, and veteran of Axiom Mission 3. His first spaceflight made him the third Swedish astronaut to reach space and the first member of ESA's 2022 astronaut class to fly.

Bio
Wandt studied electrical engineering at Chalmers University of Technology and built a career in military and experimental aviation. Before astronaut selection, he served in the Swedish Air Force and worked at Saab Aeronautics, where he became an experimental test pilot, chief test pilot, and head of flight operations.
ESA selected Wandt in 2022 as a reserve astronaut, then moved him into project astronaut status for the Swedish Muninn mission aboard Ax-3. He launched on January 18, 2024 with Michael López-Alegría, Walter Villadei, and Alper Gezeravcı aboard Crew Dragon Freedom.
During the mission, Wandt supported Swedish and ESA research aboard the International , including human research, technology demonstrations, and education outreach. He returned on February 9, 2024 after 21 days, 15 hours, 41 minutes in space.
