Bio
Borisov studied economics at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, operations research and systems analysis at the University of Warwick, and aircraft life-support systems at the Moscow Aviation Institute. He entered the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps through the 2018 selection group.
His first mission was SpaceX Crew-7, which launched to the International in 2023 with Jasmin Moghbeli, Andreas Mogensen, and Satoshi Furukawa. Borisov served as a during 69 and 70.
The Crew-7 flight is a good example of post-shuttle, post-Soyuz-only ISS crew exchange: a Russian cosmonaut flew on Crew Dragon as part of cross-seat arrangements that preserve operational continuity between NASA and Roscosmos.
