Bio
Kozeyev trained as an engineer before entering cosmonaut preparation. His only spaceflight launched aboard Soyuz TM-33 in October 2001, when Soyuz spacecraft were supporting both crew transport and lifeboat replacement needs for the young International Space Station.
The Soyuz TM-33 crew visited the ISS and returned aboard Soyuz TM-32. These short taxi flights were operationally important because they rotated Soyuz vehicles attached to the station while also carrying visiting crew members and research tasks.
Although Kozeyev flew only once, his record is part of the transition from Mir-era Russian station operations to regular ISS Soyuz support.
