Bio
Lindgren graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, earned graduate training in physiology and medicine, and completed emergency and aerospace medicine training before becoming an astronaut. Before selection, he worked with NASA as a flight surgeon and supported astronaut medical operations.
NASA selected Lindgren with Astronaut Group 20 in 2009. His first flight launched on Soyuz TMA-17M in 2015 for 44 and 45, where he served as a station and performed two EVAs with Scott Kelly.
He returned to orbit as of SpaceX Crew-4 in 2022 and served aboard the International during Expeditions 67 and 68. Crew-4 showed his move from station physician-operator to spacecraft commander in the Commercial Crew era.
