Kevin P. Chilton
Kevin Patrick "Chilli" Chilton is an American Air Force officer, test pilot, mechanical engineer, retired NASA astronaut, and former four-star general. Selected in NASA Astronaut Group 12 in 1987, he flew three shuttle missions before returning to senior Air Force leadership.

Bio
Chilton graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and earned a mechanical engineering master's degree at Columbia. His military career included , operational command, NASA astronaut service, and later major space and strategic command responsibilities.
He piloted STS-49 and STS-59, then commanded STS-76, the third shuttle docking mission with Mir. Those missions included satellite rescue, radar Earth science, and Shuttle-Mir operations.
After NASA, Chilton rose to four-star rank and commanded United States Strategic Command.
