Bio
Cassada studied physics at Albion College and the University of Rochester before becoming a naval aviator and test pilot. NASA selected him with Astronaut Group 21 in 2013.
He flew SpaceX Crew-5 to the International and served during 68. During the mission he supported research, maintenance, visiting vehicles, and work.
Cassada's profile is a good example of the modern astronaut corps: deep technical science training, operational experience, and long-duration ISS work aboard a commercial spacecraft.
