Jim Sitkin
James "Jim" Sitkin is a retired employment attorney, international volunteer, traveler, and commercial spaceflight participant. During four decades practicing in California, he focused on class actions involving protections for nonunion employees. After retirement he volunteered with an international nongovernmental organization, meeting government and community leaders in Central Europe and sub-Saharan Africa.

Bio
Sitkin's travel had taken him across all seven continents and into remote communities and wildlife regions before his New Shepard flight. Scales of justice on the NS-33 patch represented his legal career.
He launched from West Texas aboard New Shepard mission NS-33 on June 29, 2025. The six-person autonomous crossed the Kármán line during New Shepard's thirteenth human flight, then returned under parachutes while the reusable landed separately. The mission added the vertical journey he had long imagined to his broader exploration record.
