NS-20 launched on March 31, 2022 aboard New Shepard, with Kitchen serving as Astronaut.
New Shepard launches vertically from West Texas, carries its autonomous crew above the atmosphere, and returns the capsule under parachutes while the lands separately under power. Jim Kitchen therefore has 1 completed spaceflight; backup, training, canceled, and future assignments are excluded from that total.
