James H. Newman
James Hansen Newman is an American physicist, engineer, and former NASA astronaut. He flew four shuttle missions and became one of the key ISS and Hubble astronauts of the shuttle era.

Bio
Newman studied physics at Dartmouth and Rice, earning a doctorate before joining NASA. His scientific background fed into spacecraft operations, robotics, and work.
He flew STS-51 and STS-69, then STS-88, the first shuttle mission to assemble the International , and STS-109, a Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission.
Across STS-88 and STS-109, Newman performed six EVAs totaling 43 hours, 1 minute, connecting him to both the beginning of ISS assembly and Hubble servicing history.
