Jack Hathaway
Jack Hathaway is an American naval aviator, test pilot, United States Navy , and NASA astronaut selected with NASA Astronaut Group 23. His record is part of the newest generation of NASA astronauts moving from candidate training into and long-duration ISS work.

Bio
Hathaway grew up in South Windsor, Connecticut, graduated from the United States Naval Academy, and later completed graduate study at Cranfield University and the Naval War College. His Navy career included F/A-18 operations, carrier aviation, test-pilot training, and Pentagon staff work.
NASA selected Hathaway as an astronaut candidate in 2021, and he completed basic astronaut training in 2024. He was assigned as pilot of SpaceX Crew-12, a Crew Dragon mission to the International tied to 74 and 75.
Crew-12 launched in February 2026 and, as of July 5, 2026, Hathaway's first spaceflight was still in progress. Because the record is being updated during an active mission, the total time in space should be treated as a live value until landing.
