Gregory Jordan Harbaugh

Bio
Harbaugh studied aeronautical and astronautical engineering at Purdue and later physical science at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Before astronaut selection, he worked at NASA in technical roles connected to shuttle operations and planning.
He flew STS-39, STS-54, STS-71, and STS-82. His EVA work included a spacewalk on STS-54 and two Hubble servicing EVAs on STS-82, making him part of the hands-on maintenance culture that kept major spacecraft operating.
Harbaugh also used the shuttle Remote Manipulator System and supported and docking-era missions. His career shows the role at full range: robotics, EVA, payload operations, and station-era support.
