Bio
Rubio graduated from the United States Military Academy and earned a medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Before NASA he served as an Army helicopter pilot, surgeon, and flight surgeon.
He launched on Soyuz MS-22 for what became an unexpectedly extended ISS mission after the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft was damaged while docked. Rubio returned aboard Soyuz MS-23 after 370 days in space.
