NS-25 launched on May 19, 2024 aboard New Shepard, with Dwight serving as Astronaut.
New Shepard launches vertically from West Texas, carries its autonomous crew above the atmosphere, and returns the capsule under parachutes while the lands separately under power. Ed Dwight therefore has 1 completed spaceflight; backup, training, canceled, and future assignments are excluded from that total. The mission connected Dwight's professional experience with direct work aboard a crewed spacecraft and a completed flight assignment.
