Douglas Gerald Hurley
Douglas Gerald Hurley is an American retired Marine Corps pilot, test pilot, and former NASA astronaut. He piloted the final Space Shuttle mission and later commanded the first crewed orbital flight of SpaceX Crew Dragon.

Bio
Hurley graduated from Tulane University and became a Marine Corps aviator and test pilot. NASA selected him with Astronaut Group 18 in 2000, placing him in the generation that would close out shuttle operations and open operations.
He piloted STS-127 in 2009 and STS-135 in 2011. STS-135 was the final flight of the Space Shuttle program, making Hurley part of the crew that closed the shuttle era.
In 2020, Hurley commanded SpaceX Demo-2 with Bob Behnken, the first crewed orbital launch from the United States after shuttle retirement and the first crewed flight of Crew Dragon. He then served aboard the ISS during 63.
