Kuehner launched with his wife, Allie Kuehner, aboard New Shepard mission NS-33 from West Texas on June 29, 2025. The six-person autonomous crossed the Kármán line during New Shepard's thirteenth human flight, then returned under parachutes while the reusable made a powered landing.
Leaves on the NS-33 patch represented the Kuehners' environmental stewardship. His one completed suborbital flight placed a planetary perspective alongside a career that had tried to balance development, conservation, and long-term community impact.
