Brent Ward Jett Jr.
Brent Ward Jett Jr. is an American retired naval aviator, test pilot, aerospace engineer, and NASA astronaut. He flew four shuttle missions, moving from pilot to during the Shuttle-Mir and ISS assembly eras.

Bio
Jett graduated from the United States Naval Academy and the Naval Postgraduate School, then became a Navy test pilot before NASA selected him with Astronaut Group 14 in 1992.
He piloted STS-72 and STS-81, including a Shuttle-Mir docking mission, then commanded STS-97 and STS-115. Those command missions delivered major International truss and power-system hardware.
Jett's missions show the shuttle program's transition from free-flying payloads and Shuttle-Mir operations to full station assembly. His later NASA work included management roles in flight crew operations.
