Bio
Wilmore studied at Tennessee Technological University and the University of Tennessee Space Institute, then became a Navy pilot and test pilot. NASA selected him in 2000.
He piloted STS-129, launched on Soyuz TMA-14M for 41 and 42, and later flew Boeing Crew with Sunita Williams. Because Starliner returned uncrewed, Wilmore and Williams came home aboard SpaceX Crew-9 on March 18, 2025.
