Anatoly Yakovlevich Solovyev
Anatoly Yakovlevich Solovyev is a retired Soviet and Russian cosmonaut, test pilot, and one of the defining figures of the Mir era. He holds the record for the most spacewalks and the most cumulative EVA time.

Bio
Solovyev trained through the Chernigov Higher Military Aviation School, served as a fighter pilot, and later qualified as a test pilot. He was selected in the 1976 cosmonaut group, initially with Buran-related training before long-duration station missions became his main path.
He flew five missions: a short Mir visiting mission on Soyuz TM-5/TM-4, long-duration Mir EO-6 on Soyuz TM-9, Mir EO-12 on Soyuz TM-15, the Shuttle-Mir STS-71/Soyuz TM-21 mission, and Mir EO-24 on Soyuz TM-26.
Across those flights Solovyev accumulated 651 days in space and 16 EVAs totaling about 82 hours, 21 minutes. His record included demanding Mir repair work, including the post-Progress collision Spektr-related operations.
