Anatoly Artsebarsky
Anatoly Pavlovich Artsebarsky is a former Soviet cosmonaut and Air Force colonel who commanded Mir EO-9. His single spaceflight produced one of the major records of the early 1990s.

Bio
Artsebarsky came from the Soviet military pilot and test-pilot path and was selected as a cosmonaut in 1985. He launched on Soyuz TM-12 in May 1991 with Sergei Krikalev and Helen Sharman.
After the short visiting crew returned, Artsebarsky and Krikalev remained aboard Mir for long-duration station work. Artsebarsky performed six EVAs totaling about 32 hours, 17 minutes, including construction and installation work outside the station.
The mission unfolded during the final months of the Soviet Union, and the political uncertainty of 1991 became part of the wider historical setting for the crew. Artsebarsky returned after 144 days in space and later retired from flight status.
