Bio
Serebrov came from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and the Energia engineering world. His career included both short visiting flights and long-duration station .
He flew Soyuz T-7/Soyuz T-5, Soyuz T-8, Soyuz TM-8, and Soyuz TM-17. His Soyuz T-8 mission failed to dock with Salyut 7, while the later Mir missions made him one of the most experienced cosmonauts of his era.
Serebrov accumulated more than 372 days in space and performed ten EVAs, including work involving the SPK maneuvering unit outside Mir.
